The Learning Center

Hello again, The Learning Center Varsity Boys have improved amazingly this year. Our record is currently 11 wins and 2 loses. Which is a big difference to last year. After our holiday break, we still had our streaking wins after our first loss to Cambridge School of Western which is part of Men's Basketball Independent League (MBIL) Division A. We are in Division B. Then we made our second loss to Boston University Academy after our 4 streaking wins.

I believe one of our highlights of this season is against Rhode Island School for the Deaf. We had a amazingly hot and competitive game. Their best players, Nathan Robinson and Jordan Marcotte were fouled out. After that we still had our competitive game. In result we won 50 to 42. We also are looking foward to ESDAA Division II Tournament hosted by St. Mary School for the Deaf (SMSD). We will go against RISD in semi-finals.

From my obsversations, our strengths are our speed, and our benchwarmers are helpful as well. I have noticed that the team have made tons of steals through out the season so far. Our strengths have been developed by our unity between the team itself. We have developed much better relationship with each other. That was one of our weakness. Apparently we improved. Our weakness is our sloppy practices which influence our performation in our game. We had several ugly wins because of our performation in game caused by the practice. We have agreed to work on that area. We will have more harder practices for the rest of the season to be prepared for ESDAA and MBIL tournament.

The team agreed that this is our best season. The team mentioned that they recgonized their improvement within each other. Everybody helps each other out with their own weak area. They discussed that they have a lot of high expectations for next year, since we only have a senior, Giuseppe Giacubbo, graduating this year. So, basically we have the same team, with probably one new player coming up next year.

Now, Varsity Girls are still undefeated. Their record is currently 15 wins and no loss at all.

Therefore, TLC is going great this year!

Thanks.
